Hannah Marsh

Hannah is from Dorset on the South Coast of England, where she lived before moving to France with her husband and parents in 2021.

After graduating from the University of London with her bachelor's degree, she set up and ran a successful production hire company for 10 years. She enjoyed the variety of challenges and creativity the business required. After meeting her husband, Daniel and working together to further grow the business, they eventually sold the company to begin a new chapter in France.

Along with her parents they purchased a French farmhouse with six acres of land and gardens in the beautiful countryside of the Poitou Charente region. Through renovating and decorating the houses, her and Daniel discovered a passion for up-cycling French furniture. Having made firm friends with Jo and Tony Booth, Jo’s showroom brocante was a match made in heaven to showcase and sell some of their finished pieces. It was Jo who introduced Daniel and Hannah to Autentico paint, and they soon enjoyed experimenting with the quality products to create new looks on their furniture. After working with the Autentico products and seeing the results for themselves and others they quickly became fans.

Hannah is extremely excited to be involved with the distribution of the Autentico range across France and Italy, as she truly loves the products and the Autentico ethos.

Daniel Marsh

Daniel Marsh is also from Dorset on the South Coast of England, where he worked as a Sales Executive at Mercedes-Benz, before meeting his wife, Hannah.

After meeting Hannah, he joined her at her production hire company. Daniels personable attitude and people skills shone through and together they expanded the business, making it a well-established name in the industry along the south coast. Alongside this Daniel worked as the Engagement Specialist at The Crown Postoffice in Westbourne, enabling the couple to buy their first home together.

Daniel has a keen eye for interior design, coupled with Hannah’s creativity they fully decorated and modernised their house, eventually selling to begin their new life in France. Daniels flare for interior styling paired well with the couple’s newfound passion for up-cycling furniture. Becoming fast friends with Jo and Tony Booth allowed him to help in Jo’s showroom brocante, where he enjoyed talking to customers and learning about their experiences with the Autentico products. Daniel and Hannah have loved using the Autentico products on their own furniture, and Daniel has appreciated the extensive colour palette in their French farmhouse.

Like Hannah, Daniel is excited to be involved with the distribution of the Autentico range across France and Italy, and is looking forward to being an ambassador for the brand.

Jo and Tony Booth

Jo originated from Somerset, with many moves across the South of England to pursue her career the automotive sector. She started in supply chain to vehicle repair centres, three years as Business Development Director for Europcar Car Rental, finalising in Nation Sales Manager role for an independent supplier of vehicles to the vehicle rental industry.

Tony, a Yorkshireman through and through, spent the majority of his career working for BMW head office. During his time with BMW, he held various roles in After Sales development, before becoming the Senior Manager for vehicle distribution. After twenty-two years, he furthered his career in vehicle logistics and enhancement; he finished his career as a Managing Director for one of British Car Auctions business sectors.

Jo and her husband Tony moved to France in 2018, leaving their hectic corporate lives behind to pursue a healthier and less stressful life. Neither of them are strangers to many hours on the road and high pressure demands of senior management positions.

The couple have spent the last six years, renovating two large properties, setting up a successful brocante and popular tea-room, whilst becoming one of the top turnover Autentico stockists in France. Jo used many of the Autentico products upcycling furniture for sale in UK before moving to France, which is why she and Tony chose Autentico as a natural addition to their business.

Both Jo and Tony have many years of experience with paint from the automotive industry, understanding the science behind the great finish. This helps them guide people to the correct product for their project and explain how to achieve the desired look.

It’s safe to say, moving to France in 2018 to retire, hasn’t worked out quite as planned. However, Jo and Tony could not be happier with how their lives have evolved, and what the future holds. The brocante and add on businesses have given Jo and Tony the opportunity to meet many people and open their social network, leading to the instant friendship with Hannah and Daniel. The friendship spilled over into mutually beneficial and fun business ventures. Having Hannah and Daniel as business partners adds a fresh energy, not to mention much laughter over some very silly jokes.

Assisting with the distribution and further sales of Autentico in France is a challenge Jo and Tony are ready and excited for. All the hard work and preparation so far in 2024 is just the tip of an iceberg; the beginning of many years to come.
